About the game
The Forgotten Legacy game began long ago on a Commodore
64 BBS known as W.I.S.E. BBS. It ran for two episodes,
each of which took approximately one year to play.
The present incarnation is played via internet email,
with the posted moves and Game Master scenarios being
posted publicly on this web page as play progresses.
This episode began in January of 1999, and is called
FORGOTTEN LEGACY 2,000.

Joining the Game
The game is presently accepting new players.
To join, send email to The Game Master, and your request will be evaluated within a few days.
If you are joined to the game, you will be introduced into the story stream as soon as your bio, picture, and sig file are installed on the Players page.
A bio is a simple paragraph about your character, telling who they are and what they are like. Your request to play should include your character bio, and perhaps a suggestion on how your character might enter the game.
( Bio examples on
The Players Page ).
Pictures should be 300x300 pixel .gif or .jpg files.
The graphical sig should be 50 pixels high, and up to 300 pixels wide. It should be in .jpg or .gif format. Doctored photos, line drawings, and original works of art are all welcome.
Creativity is always appreciated. ;)
( the GM can adjust file size and format as needed )

Playing the Game
The GM will post new threads with adjusted scenarios. At the end will be an icon for email replies. The player states their move via email and the GM will evaluate and determine the outcome.
No gaming system is used, so all is at the whim of the GM. Some players may not have full web access. They will communicate entirely by email, with the GM sending them current threads and player posts as they occur. Players who show creativity, wit, and originality will probably fare better in the game. [G]

Legal Stuff
All posted materials become property of the GM. All profit, if any, derived from the text of the game, will be equally shared by all participants whose association with the game is maintained for at least half the message threads. Players retain rights to their pictures, sigs, and characters, with the exception that they grant the GM the right to use them in the game, and reproduce them in other formats, unaltered except for size and format of the graphical elements.

Any player who begins to suffer disassociation, delusions, or other personality disorders should exit the game immediately, giving notice to the GM, and seek professional assistance. Characters who disappear without notice, however, may suffer interesting and creatively destructive fates.
The game resides in a publicly viewable area. Adult (sic) language and behaviors will be allowed only so long as they are not excessive. The GM reserves the right to omit from the text of the game such content as seems offensive. :)
The GM takes neither credit nor responsibility for any psychic or precognitive abilities that might suddenly appear, nor any affect such abilities may have, among players or readers during or after the game.
Participation in the game is considered consent and approval for the GM to create and maintain an altered perception of reality including the player, and as such, may be withdrawn by the player at any time, upon notice to the GM, at the whim of the player.
There are no prisoners here. . . . So let it be written. So let it be done.
